Have you ever just met someone and knew there was something different about them?

Have you ever just sat back and watched a couple interact in their own comfort zone?

Most people don’t take the time to read between the lines for other peoples relationships….. And that’s okay we are all wrapped up in life… but as an artist I tend to look beyond the normal spectrum… I am so in love for the emotional side of life… it is gold… the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae!

Kelsy and Clint…

So I could blab on and on about how AMAZING this couple is or you can read their interview… it seriously is way better then anything I could write myself… enough said ;-)

Kelsy’s Interview...

How did you meet?

I met Clint in College. Most everyone on campus knew Clint or at least knew of him. I had heard a lot about him but never really thought of him as someone I would ever date. We ran into each other at a party and he came at me with a cheesy pickup line that made my cheeks flush. I’ll never forget the first words he spoke to me…“dance harder,” and I’ll also never let him forget it! Although he was very persistent in trying to see me again, I decided to keep my distance. We were at two completely different stages in life. He was graduating college and I was just starting. Four months later, I was bartending at Wild’s Bar and Grill when I saw him again. His persistency hadn’t subsided so I finally gave in and spent some time with him. At first, I was kind of weirded out by Clint, anyone that knows him knows how extremely, and I mean extremely weird he is! I didn’t go out with him again right away, I was very independent and working two jobs so I didn’t have a lot of time. He kept pressing and pressing so finally I just gave in and went on another date with him. I’m so thankful for his persistency and have grown to love how weird he his.

Was it love at first sight?

No. Although I found him attractive I was more in love with my independence than the idea of being in a relationship when I first met him.

What did you notice first about him/her?

His smile. He knows that it’s one thing that I can’t say no to. Some people have puppy dog eyes, Clint has his smile.

What is your favorite thing to do together?

Anything that involves being outdoors and exploring. We both grew up playing sports so we really enjoy watching/playing all kinds of sports now. We fuel our competitive natures with deals where the loser usually ends up doing dishes or cooking dinner.

Where do you see yourselves in 5 years?

Hopefully starting a family of our own. This is one thing that we’ve agreed on for a long time. We both can’t wait to have kids.

What do you guys do for fun?

Anything from hiking to game nights with friends. We aren’t hard people to entertain. I have to be busy otherwise I’m find myself bored out of my mind. Clint on the other hand is perfectly fine doing nothing for an entire day. I think sometimes I drive him nuts with my constantly needing to be busy but he loves me anyway.

Why do you think you ended up together?

Because Clint wouldn’t take no for an answer. Things could have easily been very different but I guess he saw something in me that was worth a wait and I am very thankful for his tenacity.

How did you meet?
I first met Kelsy at a college gathering and I thought she was very pretty. I had heard about her being a stud in track. So naturally I approached her and started a very awkward conversation with her, which in turn made me feel like an idiot. I eventually got her number and we hung out once and then she never really talked to me again so I took the hint. I went off and left Chadron to student teach but came back for my job as a football coach at the college and she was bartending one night so I talked to her and then got the courage enough to text her and ask if she wanted to hang out. She did, then I think I weirded her out again because she ghosted me for about a month. Then out of the blue she finally texts me again and we started hanging out more, going on dates, and eventually I asked her to be my girlfriend and the rest is history.
What it love at first sight?
I would not say that, I thought she was very pretty and a smart girl but I was sort of a wild man at that time and over time Kelsy tamed me.
What did you notice first about him/her?
Her giant beautiful smile
What is your favorite thing to do together?
We really enjoy hiking I would say that is our favorite thing to do, next would probably be working out together, and lastly we really enjoy being bums sometimes and laying around and annoying each other all day.
Where do you see yourselves in 5 years?
Whoof, I would say that in five years we will birth a little human at some point along the way, therefore I see myself changing diapers and fighting the urge to rock the dad bod.
What do you guys do for fun?
Our usual hobbies and physical activity, but we love to hang out with our friends, we occasionally go downtown but we would rather stay in and hang out with them.
Why do you think you ended up together?
Perseverance-I could have easily gave up but I wanted to show Kelsy that if she gives me some time, then she will start embracing my weirdness and start liking me.
